We are pleased to report another year of success for FoHM at the 'Come & Try It' Sessions held at this year's Belladrum Festival. Two sessions encouraging young and old alike to try various musical instruments were offered generating a great response of around 100 participants each day. The involvement of local musicians in tutoring those interested was much appreciated and was instrumental in making the event such a success. This was also a good opportunity to inform Festival goers about the work of FoHM. Some images from the sessions are shown below.
Some young players from the Fèis Inbhir Narainn Caledonian Cèilidh Trail joined session participants to play tunes outside the tent on the Friday evening, which was an enjoyable extra feature.
Many thanks in particular to FoHM Committee Member Rhona MacDonald and Fèis Inbhir Narainn for their hard work in setting up this popular event at the Belladrum Festival once again.
